We work in eradicating curable blindness by providing affordable, accessible and sustainable eye care services and empower women to achieve this.

Last year Raman Singh’s sight was deteriorated due to Cataract.

His world came to an end as he was sole earner in the family. DVC operated him and now He is able to earn again and support his family.Last year Raman Singh’s sight was deteriorated due to Cataract. His world came to an end as he was sole earner in the family and no money for getting his eyes checked. A family friend told him about Dr. Veena Chowdhary Foundation. In September 2021 Raman with Rekindled hope walk through the doors of our hospital and walk out with renewed vision after a free sight-restoring cataract surgery. He is now able to earn again and support his family.

But it all come to halt, when She suddenly started facing issue in seeing properly. As time passed, she needed her daughter even for small things due to blindness. She came to know about DVC from her brother and was happy to hear about us. She came to us and was diagnosed with Diabetic Retinopathy. Having limited sources of income, It was impossible for her to afford the treatment. Dr. Veena Chowdhary Foundation came forward and assured her to provided complete treatment for free. Today Her daughter is relieved and can now focus on her own activities without constantly worrying about her mother.
Sonu was born with congenital cataract in both of his eyes and gradually lost his vision.

His entire life was ahead of him and his family was not able to afford treatment. His parents were worried how He will survive after them. Our team was running an eye campaign in his school where we got to know about his condition. DVC admitted him with open arms and treated him to restore his vision. After the procedure in March, Sonu is now looking forward to a better future. More than ever, today we must support kids like Sonu in their fight against treatable blindness so that we as people can keep making valuable contributions to humanity's long-term survival.
